| About the Golf Course Surrounding the multi-level clubhouse is an 18 hole championship golf course that impressively winds its way through Mira Vista country, presenting an array of beautiful holes that offer challenging play for all golfers. The masterful Mira Vista course is the creation of golf professional Tom Weiskopf and golf course architect Jay Morrish. Their efforts have resulted in the design and construction of one of the most outstanding championship golf courses anywhere. In fact, Mira Vista's very own hole #11 was ranked the best hole #11 in America by Dan Jenkins, Golf Digest March/April 2000.
To play Mira Vista is to experience the perfect blend of modern golf course architecture with golf's grandest traditions.
Site of the 1994 Texas State Amateur, the 1997 Southern Amateur, and the 2000 Texas State Mid-Amateur Championship, Mira Vista features 419 Bermuda fairways, Tifeagle greens and multiple tee areas on each hole. The par 71 course has a maximum total yardage of 6,849. Native grasses and a panorama of wildflowers provide an extraordinary park-like environment. Three lakes enhance the course layout as it meanders through the scenic hills and valleys. Elevation changes as is spans a 150-foot range, offering spectacular views to players along the way. Truly the beginning of a tradition, this course will take its place among golf's greatest. |
